At Valmy Academy, we do more than train young performers — we help them step confidently into the industry. Through our in-house Talent Management program, selected students are supported in pursuing professional work in film, television, theatre, and commercial productions.
Talent Management is led by our dedicated Talent Manager (based at Valmy Academy) and delivered in partnership with Studio Talent Collective, where all students are professionally represented by Agent Josephine Lancuba — one of Australia’s most respected youth-focused agents.
Together, we provide a safe, supported, and family-centred pathway from studio to screen
Our students are represented by Studio Talent Collective, giving them access to national-level casting opportunities via Casting Networks and other platforms.
Our Talent Manager works directly with students and families to oversee development, casting readiness, and communication with the agent.
From self-tape coaching to headshots and resumes, we help prepare students to present professionally and confidently for industry work.
Entry into Talent Management is by invitation or application, ensuring each child is developmentally ready, supported by their family, and engaged in the process for the right reasons.
This program is available to Valmy Academy students aged 7 and up, with a focus on those showing consistency, maturity, and interest in the industry. We offer one-on-one guidance to determine if and when a child is ready.
Comply with state requirements to have a permanent registered agent available during normal business hours to stay in good standing and avoid fines.
Many companies with store fronts use a registered agent service to ensure they don’t receive any embarrassing legal notices at their business.
We’ll accept all important documents and upload digital copies to your dashboard so you can view, download, or print them anytime.
As the Talent Manager at Valmy Academy, I work closely with students and families to help young performers take their first steps into the industry — with care, clarity, and confidence.
I’ve spent over a decade working in the performing arts as a choreographer, producer, educator, and creative director. Through my leadership at Valmy Academy and our strong connection with the national industry, I’ve had the privilege of supporting hundreds of students as they grow from passionate performers into confident, capable artists — both on stage and on screen.
My role as Talent Manager is all about guiding students and parents through the often overwhelming world of castings, agents, and self-tapes. I offer one-on-one support with headshots, showreels, audition prep, and communication with the agency, so families always feel informed, empowered, and protected.
Most importantly, I believe that no opportunity is worth pursuing unless it aligns with a child’s wellbeing. Every decision we make is driven by what’s right for the individual — not just what looks good on paper. It’s about readiness, not pressure. Confidence, not perfection.
If your child is dreaming of a career in the industry, or simply wants to explore what’s possible, I’d love to walk that journey with you.
