Cert III and School?

Students enrolled in our Cert III are integrated into a theatre training timetable with structured classes on practice and performance in all main facets of musical theatre, production and creative industries business management.
Students train on campus at Valmy Academy ALCHEMY STUDIOS in Albion, Brisbane for 1 full day a week from 9-7pm instead of a school day. Students attend their own school as usual for the remainder of the week. Valmy Academy follows the QLD State School term structure.  Our Vocational Coordinator works with your child’s high school to ensure the minimum academic hours are being met across their other academic subjects and to ensure the best outcome for their vocational training.

Beyond mastering acting, singing, and dancing, we teach our students the values of commitment, ethics, professionalism, self-discipline, excellence, resilience, and consistency. VALMY ACADEMY graduates are strong, confident, and highly skilled performers. They deliver authentic performances, excel vocally and physically, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. As part of the enrolment process students will be provided with an electronic link by ATOD that will enable them to undertake an ‘online’ evaluation to determine their current level of skills in the three areas. Please note some units of competency do not require all three skills concurrently. The results of the evaluation will determine if a student requires any learning support whilst undertaking each unit of competency.
