Who is valmy Academy?

Building confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging.

A Place where children feel safe enough to be brave.

At Valmy Academy, performing arts education is not just about technique or talent — it’s about building confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging.

We create spaces where children and teens feel safe to express themselves, try new things, and grow both on and off the stage. Every class is a chance to be seen, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are.

We offer musical theatre, dance, acting, and singing programs for students aged 18 months to 18 years, but what truly sets us apart is how we care about your child. About their journey. And about the kind of human beings they’re becoming through the arts.Because for us, this work is personal.

Loïc Valmy – Founder & Inspiration

07-February -1972 – 9-August-2024

With more than 45 years of international experience in the Performing Arts, Loïc Valmy was a beacon of knowledge and inspiration within our Academy.

Loïc’s career began at just six years old as a singer in a children’s choir in France. After spending his youth performing in professional musical theatre productions, he pursued a Master’s in Psychology before earning a place at the prestigious Alice Dona Studios in Paris.

Following his graduation, Loïc quickly became one of the most in-demand Artistic Directors in Paris, coaching and directing talent for major record labels such as Universal, EMI, and Sony Music. Over the past 30 years, he produced and directed more than 60 musicals and cabaret shows across France, Europe, and Australia. As a vocal coach and educator, he mentored hundreds of young performers—many of whom have since forged successful professional careers.

Beyond the stage, Loïc was also a distinguished university lecturer, shaping the minds of aspiring professionals in business, entertainment management, and the creative industries. His unique blend of artistic excellence and strategic insight remains an integral part of the Academy’s teaching philosophy.

Honouring Loïc’s Legacy

Loïc was more than a director, educator, and mentor—he was the heart of our Academy. His vision, passion, and belief in young artists built the foundation upon which we continue to grow. Today, VALMY ACADEMY carries forward his dream by empowering the next generation with not just training, but real-world opportunities, industry connections, talent management pathways, and access to working artists.

His legacy lives on in every student who walks through our doors, in every performance that takes the stage, and in the unwavering pursuit of artistic excellence.
Loïc may no longer be with us, but his spirit, his lessons, and his love for the arts will always be at the core of Valmy
